  • Hearth / Bath Contact: Non-wetting, low-porosity SiC castables or phosphate-bonded bricks to resist molten aluminium and flux penetration.
  • Side Walls: Thermal shock–resistant Non wetting with controlled conductivity.
  • Roof / Crown: Lightweight insulating castables with high spalling resistance.
  • Burner / Charge Door: 90% Al₂O₃ non-wetting castables, phosphate-bonded plastics, and low-porosity gunning mixes designed for high abrasion resistance and rapid repair.
  • Tap Hole / Spout: Dense SiC-reinforced castables for erosion and metal flow impact resistance.
  • Overhead / Anchor Zones: Ceramic-anchored plastics for stability under thermal cycling.
